When expecting, expect the unexpected

Sometimes, life just happens.

As a thirty-two-year-old human being, eventually I have embraced the fact that there are things we cannot control and can never control, no matter what we do...

Just a month ago, my entire family came down with Covid-19. All recovered except grandfather and aunt in law. Life as we know it has been turned upside down, and we have forced to say goodbye to so much of the normal we once knew.

Sometimes things like this are just inevitable.

Slow down and take a chill pill

Give yourself time to process what is going on so you are not clouded by anything. This will ensure that you make a better judgment call.”

It might sound cliche, but all we have is now. We might as well take our time. And live in today’s moments.

Bite the bullet

I remind myself that death is a fact of life at least it has been so far.—it happens to everyone all the time. We’re not the only one. Life has it out just to ruin me. I never forget that we are all in this together and we will all get through it. Life will never stop pushing our buttons.

Pull yourself together

The unexpected can take you to places you never even dreamt of going! When we are open to change and the unexpected, life can take on a whole new meaning. We learn to grow, to develop, to create new relationships both with ourselves and with other people, we feel inspired and we learn what we do and don’t want in life.

Every cloud has a silver lining

When the unexpected happens in life, it seems easy for fear rearing, but keeping your head up and having a positive attitude can make most situations better instantaneously, otherwise it will devour us.

It may have a positive aspect to in due course, who knows...

I am just grateful for the growth that happens in this discomfort.
